The Clean Water Advocacy Center provides affordable legal and advocacy services in the public interest to people with water quality, quantity or access issues.


Clean Water Advocacy Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit public interest organization that provides low cost legal services to individuals, non-profits and businesses facing water quality, quantity or access problems.

Chistopher Len

Chris is the founder and executive director of the Clean Water Advocacy Center. He earned his J.D. with a certificate in specialization in environmental and natural resources from Lewis & Clark Law School, his Masters in Marine Affairs and Policy from University of Miami and his B.S. in Biology from Colorado College.

Chris specializes in environmental law and policy, especially pertaining to water quality, consumption and access. For the last decade he has worked as a staff attorney, senior attorney, managing attorney and legal director at environmental nonprofits across the country. His experience relates to environmental policy, litigation, strategy and administrative issues.

When not advocating for the environment, Chris enjoys being out in it! An avid hiker, rock climber and traveler, Chris and his family took a travel sabbatical in 2016-17 to travel throughout Europe, Asia and Australia.

Jennifer Gannett

Jen earned her J.D. from Lewis and Clark Law School and been subsequently working on wide swaths of animal protection and environmental issues. Jen has extensive experience in the nonprofit world, from communications to development to program and legal issues. She is faculty member at Main Street Vegan Academy and serves as a consultant to nonprofits and individuals in New Jersey.

Jen enjoys advocacy on all levels and can be found biking around town during the warmer months.
